PLYMOUTH, Mich. – Spokane, Wash.-based Sterling Savings Bank, the first customer of Burroughs Payment Systems, Inc. to deploy SmartSource® Intelligence (SSI) software, announced today that SSI was deployed bank-wide in one evening.
According to Gary Enders, Sterling Savings Bank vice president & item processing services manager, “Sterling Savings Bank recently deployed the newly released Burroughs SmartSource Intelligence scanner monitoring software to all 178 branch locations. Sterling was extremely pleased with the thorough service Burroughs provided as the companies worked through the rollout requirements and needs.”
Justin Heitsch, distributed capture manager at Sterling Savings Bank, said, “The initial deployment went very well and Sterling quickly confirmed readiness to proceed with a bank-wide installation. With support from Burroughs, deployment to all branch locations was easily performed in one evening. Deployment took place while locations were closed through a silent install package co-developed by Sterling and Burroughs.” Enders said, “Overall, the process was seamless and the resulting software will provide benefits to future SmartSource Intelligence customers.”
SmartSource Intelligence enables financial institutions to drastically reduce the cost of managing check scanners used in remote deposit capture.
