Adding personal accounts on Business RDC
With branch closures and unavailability to access branches due to the pandemic, there have been an increase in inquiries on adding personal accounts for RDC deposit on existing business RDC customer profiles. What would allow or prohibit personal accounts being added in this manner?

RE:Adding personal accounts on Business RDC
Allow or prohibit would or should be addressed in your T&C's.  Also you might want to think about it this way, for consumer products most FI's handle the product and services differently, error resolution, disputes, etc. are governed by Reg E, businesses do not garner the same protections.  Be very careful allowing business to have access to consumer accounts that you are not passing this protection onto to them, via your account agreements or product T&C's.  Before you allow this have your internal council review agreement, product descriptions, and T&C's to state consumer means consumer accounts, etc. to protect your FI from potential losses.

RE:Adding personal accounts on Business RDC
Use of our commercial RDC product is governed by our commercial treasury management rules and agreements.  Charges for using it go through our commercial account analysis system.   Consumers don't sign our commercial agreements nor are their accounts on the commercial billing system.  That's the primary reason we use to not allow this.

RE:Analyzed Savings or MMA accounts on RDC

Do you mean RDC into SAV or MMA Accounts?  A consumer could RDC into a SAV or MMA I beleive. But for commercial customers you cant by law in most places co-mingle security deposits with regular funds due to the required accounting of those funds.  It creates a terribly challenging acco...

Analyzed Savings or MMA accounts on RDC

What would be some reasons why a Financial Institution would prohibit (or allow) RDC on Analyzed SAV/MMA? The use case for some businesses, such as Property Management Companies wishing to deposit directly into an Analyzed MMA where security deposits are held, has been brought to our attention, b...
