Webinar - RemoteDepositCapture.com’s 2007 Industry Report Key Findings, Metrics, Trends & Issues

A Complimentary Webinar provided by:

Join John Leekley, Founder & CEO, RemoteDepositCapture.com and Ed McLaughlin, Executive Director, RemoteDepositCapture.com for an interactive discussion of the key findings, metrics, trends and issues identified in RemoteDepositCapture.com’s 2007 Industry Report.

Key findings of the report include:

  • Tremendous growth lies ahead, though actual results risk falling short of some industry estimates. Celent, for example estimates over 3 Million locations will be active by 2010 vs. approximately 2 Million according to our aggregated statistics. The primary reason for this divergence appears to be the expected rates of adoption of RDC by small businesses.
  • "Thin-Client" & "Smart Client" offerings are becoming the de-facto standard deployment method banks are using to offer RDC Services. In fact, if the industry has any chance of coming close to the projections mentioned above, thin-client (browser-based) solutions are a requirement.
  • Increasingly, Remote Deposit Capture solutions are being used as a payments and remittance processing platform, with additional functionality constantly being added, such as Accounts Receivable data extracts.
  • Industry Pricing for RDC Services continues to decline as a growing percentage of checks are cleared electronically, banks and service providers gain economies of scale, deployments are becoming less costly (thin-client), and new low-cost scanners come to market.
