Here is a list of some items that could be included in a customer risk analysis. What else should be or is it too much?
Customer onsite risk assessment checklist Items
 
Customer Name
Customer Address and locations of additional RDC sites
Names of Principals, Titles                                    
Names of RDC Operators
Number of Staff
Annual Revenue of Business
How will the RDC operators be trained on RDC
Name of Person(s) visiting site and completing checklist
Type of Business (SIC Code) - Assign a Risk Category based on SIC code;
Is it a processor for other customers (list or attach names?  
What types of businesses are the customers that it process for and establish a evaluate each of its customers risk profile (list or attach evaluations)
 
Consumer customers - How long with bank, other bank products, transaction history, average daily balance
 
Existing Business Customer - How long has customer been with the bank,  
History with bank: balances, other existing bank products (loans, credit cards, payroll account etc,)Please list with Account #s  
Have the customer signed the banks deposit agreement

New Business or Consumer Customer - Name of previous bank,
Obtain 3 months of transaction history, average daily balances, other bank products being included
Other bank products being included with RDC
How long have they been in business
 
Customer location evaluation - Internal IT structure (include out sourced and none where appropriate),
Risk management policies (specify and include if none for small businesses) List all non domestic locations and relationship to the domestic account
Credit Report - has one been obtained? All new customers and large depositors should be reviewed by an Officer
Review any available audits (SAS 70, IT , ISO etc) that are relevant
What is the expected daily, weekly and monthly value of deposits?
 $ size of the items and deposits to be deposited;
 # of items and deposits
Will there be any peak periods during the week or month
What type of clearing channels will be used - Check and ACH
What security controls will be in place to prevent unauthorized access to the RDC system (Access,  Security)
Does the customer do background checks on employees
Does the customer have a risk management policy in place, if so describe
Approved/Rejected­ ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­
