While I believe some of the points and recommnedations are still valid, the RDC industry has evolved and that a new set of best practices can be created.

I am curious to hear from the community (from both End Users and Solution Providers), what their recent Best Practices are:

1. Should an end user handle Deployment, Fulfillment, Service and Support themselves?  At what point do you hand it over to someone else?
2. What do you look out for in:

• Pre-Installation and program management?
• Solution Installation?
• Preventative maintenance?
• Service and support?
• Upgrading software and hardware

3.  What Best Practices would you recommend?
